Adrienne Brownstein's Obituary
Adrienne Brownstein was born and raised in Forest Hills, Queens, NY, to Nathan and Muriel Brownstein.
She was a very intelligent and resourceful woman. She worked in market research for many years and worked her way up to become a Vice President of a Long Island based market research firm, McCollum-Spielman, and was there over 25 years.
She loved getting together with friends, enjoyed dinners out, traveling on vacations with her good friends, and inviting family over to her home, for dinner.
When she traveled on business, she was always destined to make a good friend in the process and keep their friendship.
She was the kind of friend who was a straight shooter and real person, no pretentiousness, no BS. She was a friend where if you went for long periods without talking, it wouldn’t change the relationship. She was a dear friend to numerous people for many years. She was a tough woman, a strong personality.
Adrienne was one of a kind, and too bad if you didn’t like it! She was a person who always had your back.
Adrienne loved her two cats, Livingston (who has passed) and Brandi, and loved everything “cat”; blankets, pictures, coffee mugs etc.
Adrienne was an avid reader. She absolutely loved crime mysteries. She read every night, loved watching crime mysteries on television. The Closer and BBC mysteries were some of her favorites. She loved doing jigsaw puzzles and would glue them to make wall pictures.
Adrienne enjoyed country music, especially Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood.
She loved attending concerts in NY, as well as Broadway plays, such as Chess.
She was always there for her family, her sister, Marla, and brother-in-law Blake, and especially her niece Sarah.
One of Sarah’s fondest memories was when a sudden NY snowstorm came in April, and she, Marla and Sarah had an awesome snowball fight. Sarah and Marla also really loved going to her favorite NY restaurant, Parkside, in Corona, Queens.
We’d enjoy ices at Corona Ice King and watch bocci ball playing by the local Italian men in the community.
She enjoyed life the way she knew it! Adrienne will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
Adrienne is survived by her sister, Marla, brother-in-law Blake, her niece Sarah, and her dear cat Brandi.
