Albert Smith's Obituary
Albert Smith, 87, of Tamarac, passed away June 14, 2014. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and after his service in the Navy in WWII, came back to the family bakery business with his father the late Bernard (Ruth) Smith an d later with his brother-in-law the late Max Smith. He finished his career in Washington, D.C. before retiring to Florida with his wife Betty. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty Smith; his loving children, Ronni (the late Steven) Welsch, Joel (Jackie) Smith, Susan (Carl) DeNicolis; and is the adored grandfather of Howard and Jeffrey (Mandy) Welsch, Jennifer (Jimmy) Rhein, Jacob Smith, Eric & Michelle DeNicolis; sister-in-law Elaine Smith and Laurrie Hofberg and many loving mieces and nephews and their families. A chapel service will be held Monday, June 16th at 2:00 pm at Levitt Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 8135 West McNab Road, Tamarac, FL 33321. Burial will take place on Tuesday, June 17th at South Florida National VA Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. Contributions may be made to City of Hope, King's Point Chapter 1492, 1000 Corporate Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33334.
