I remember Albert fondly. He was a friend to me (Janet Fernandez 206 Lake Helen) and my dearly departed, George Cole. We would often attend concerts together at the Royal Palm Beach Civic Center. George and I would pick Albert up and drop him off in front of his condo here at Golden Lakes Village when he needed a ride to and from. I remember the first time we met Albert about 15 years ago. We were at the pool at the Phase A Clubhouse and Albert was such a pleasant conversationalist. George passed on December 29, 2018 and I have been in my “own little world” of grief so to speak. But I noticed that I hadn’t seen or heard from Albert in sometime. I assumed he was in Pennsylvania visiting. But then I was watching our internal television channel and saw that we have a new captain on our C.O.P. (Citizens on Patrol). I remember going to a few meetings with Albert over the years and he was very proud to have been a part of the C.O.P. Program. He even tried to get me to sign up but my health got in the way. I felt safe knowing he had a watchful eye on the goings on around our village. I was recently in Pennsylvania but didn’t learn of his passing until today. He has been on my mind and I got a bad feeling so I looked him up on Google and that is how I found out he is no longer with us. He was a good man and I miss seeing him around riding his bike or walking to Temple. May he Rest In Peace. Another good soul gone too soon.
