Alexander F. Yahr's Obituary
Alexander F. Yahr, 46, passed away February 8, 2018 at his home in Hollywood.
A native of Miami Beach, Alex was born June 4, 1971 to Sonia and Dr. William Yahr. Alex is survived by his wife, Katie, and their four legged daughter, Bella. He was the brother of Elizabeth Yahr Southard and Harriette Yahr, uncle to Ashley and Ryan Southard, and cousin to Marc, Lisa and Erica Yahr.
Alex was a licensed general contractor, successful realtor, and designer whose distinguished style is evident in properties across South Florida. He was a graduate and devoted supporter of the FIU College of Communication, Architecture, and the Arts. A lifelong philanthropist, Alex supported charities that were most dear to his heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for Contributions to the William Z. Yahr M.D. Endowment for Children's Heart Health and/or the Sunny Yahr FAWL Scholarship Fund in loving memory of Alex Yahr. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, February 13 at 11:00 a.m. at Levitt-Weinstein North Miami Beach, 18840 West Dixie Highway North Miami Beach, FL 33180.
