Alice Klein's Obituary
Alice Pollack Klein passed away on Monday, April 6th, two days before her 88th birthday. She valiantly fought breast cancer for 15 years. She was the most courageous patient - never once complaining and never turning bitter, no matter how painful or debilitating. If you asked her how she was feeling her response was always "fine".
She created a fabulous family including two children, five grandchildren, a son-in-law and daughter-in-law. She was a world class Bubbe. Her grandchildren lived in Maryland and Pennsylvania, but she never missed an event that her grandchildren participated in. She even travelled to Berlin to watch her granddaughter compete in the Maccabi games.
She loved being Jewish, and as long as she was physically able, she never missed a Saturday morning Shabbat service. She particularly loved celebrating the Jewish holidays. Her favorite was Passover, and for many years she would welcome as many as 70 guests to Seder. No one was ever excluded. Her circle of friends was huge, and she was particularly proud of her Miami Lakes family.
The funeral will be held at Temple Sinai of North Dade, on Thursday, April 9th at 11:30 a.m. Donations in her honor may be made to Temple Sinai of North Dade, https://shulcloud.tsnd.org/payment.php or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Levitt Weinstein Blasberg Rubin Zilbert (305) 932-2700.
