B A Dillman
He operated on my father in 1993. Although he received a cat scan indicating cancer he stated that sometimes these reports are not correct. He insisted on operating, saying that it was diverticulitis . Since my dad was only 65 we trusted Fields. He did not requests any other tests. He just wanted to do surgery. Well it was cancer. We did not learn this for two weeks after the surgery. He said that he could not get all of the cancer. During the two weeks while we were waiting, I kept calling to ask about my father. He would not talk about my dad he only wanted to ask questions about his karate contract, as at that time he was just opening a karate studio. Well less than three months later just after turning 65 my father died. My dad did not have a good death. I blame Fields. The Oncologist that we took my dad to said Fields should not have operated but rather should have reduced the size of the tumor first. It’s a pity that we did not sue this man for malpractice. I just wonder how many other people suffered at the hands of this man.
