Andres Wiesner's Obituary
Wiesner, Andres
88 of Sunny Isles Beach, FL, passed away peacefully in his home on February 21, 2015, in the loving company of his wife and family. Born April 23rd, 1926, and raised in Radoshina, Czechoslovakia, Andres was just 18 years old when, with his brother and parents, he was interned, first in Auschwitz and eventually in Buchenwald concentration camps. Together with his father, he survived eight months. In 1947, he met the love of his life, Teresa Deutelbaum. They married in 1948 and emigrated to Israel in early 1949, where Andres was actively engaged in defending Israeli independence. In 1955, he and Tery relocated to Managua, Nicaragua, where he established himself as a successful entrepreneur in the automotive industry. He continued that career after the family relocated again to the North Miami Beach area in 1979. In addition to his mother and brother who perished in the Holocaust, Andres was preceded in death by his father and much-loved daughter, Yael. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Teresa Wiesner; his nieces Nela and Dana in Slovakia; his cousins, Shimon and Ephraim, in Israel; and many other loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Generous, honorable, and graced with a warm and embracing smile, Andres was a wonderful son, husband, father, and friend to all. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 23rd, at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th St, Miami. Shiva at the family home.
