Anszel Gun's Obituary
GUN, Anszel age 91 of Boca Raton, Florida, formerly of Southfield, Michigan, passed away March 11, 2016. Devoted husband of 59 years to the late Manya Gun, beloved father of Dr. Binnie Gun (Brian Eisenberg), Sherry (Bob) Miller all of Cleveland, Ohio and Samuel (Danni) Gun of Detroit, Michigan; adored grandfather of David (fiancée Meghan Kenska) and Benjamin Fankhauser, Alana and Lauren Gun, Alyssa, Adam (Mandy) and Arielle Miller; loving great-grandfather of Ellie Mason Miller; dear brother of Jack and Miryam Gun, cherished uncle and great-uncle.
A Holocaust Survivor, Anszel was born on November 22, 1927 in Rozyczyce, Poland. He was a tenacious fighter, building a new life in the United States; he became a successful business owner and was the revered family patriarch. Anszel raised his family in Detroit, Michigan and was happily retired in Boca Raton, Florida for 30 years.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Eternal Light Memorial Gardens in Boynton Beach, Florida. The family will observe Shiva from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at 8320 Nadmar Avenue, Boca Raton. The family will also receive friends in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday, March 24 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the home of Binnie Gun and Brian Eisenberg, 110 Woodburn Drive, Moreland Hills.
