Anthony Alacca's Obituary
Anthony "Tony" Alacca passed away peacefully at his home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the age of 70.
Born in Mansfield, Ohio, on January 27th , 1950. Tony received his Executive MBA in Health care Administration from Miami University, his BS in Medical Technology from Ohio State University and was a graduate of Malabar High School in Mansfield Ohio in 1968.
Mr. Alacca was the CEO of several health care systems the last being Opthamology Services. He also had a certification in Immunohematology. Tony was an active member in his Chorus, and he absolutely loved to sing while finding joy in all the friends he made. Tony loved performing, giving back to the community and was extremely dedicated to the success of the chorus on a national level.
Tony had, many talents and a zest for life. He was a consummate student and loved to learn. Tony spoke fluent French and Italian. He loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Upon his retirement he enrolled in the French cooking school The Cordon Bleau. He also became a connoisseur of wine and a sommelier. He started a home chef business for private parties call Epicurean Chef. Tony loved to travel and particularly loved to go on exotic cruises.
His dream was to live in Italy and spend time in the South of France. His other love was his garden and exotic plants, herbs and rare fruit trees. Most of all, he loved his friends and family. Tony loved to share his knowledge and excitement with everyone he knew.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Kate Alacca. He is survived by cousins Jack and Phil Kampf, Jan and Jay Letizia, Corinne Devich, Rosie & Carl Musille, Russell Musille, Carlene Tucker, Carl Musille, Adeline Grillo, Val Keen, Sherly Messer, Tony Morelli, Cheryl Rettig, Mike Shenberger, Lori Nicholson, Janet Marged, Pam Steger, Tina Thompson, Susie Soprano, Aja Corwin, Shelly Guidara and many other cousins.
At Tony's request, no service will be held. Tony will be buried at Mansfield Memorial Cemetery, Mansfield, Ohio. A memorial tribute is being arranged and information will follow.
