Today, August 15th, marks my 10th anniversary working at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Avi was one of the very first patients I ever encountered there. I remember vividly meeting him in the CTU, in a side room that had a bed. I'm sure we spoke at least an hour, the first time we met. Avi was "THAT" person. He always put you at ease and made you feel like you were speaking to a friend, no matter what the circumstance. The world is a better place for having had him here on earth and today, G-d is crying because he has moved on. The storms in Boca Raton are so unpredictable, that I am hoping to watch the live stream. Thinking of you Karen, at this most difficult time, and may Avi's memory be a blessing.
