Arleen J. Rosenthal's Obituary
ROSENTHAL, Arleen J., 70, of South Miami, passed away on June 2, 2014. Beloved wife of Jack, mother of Avraham (Laura) and Oren (Marci), and Safta of Jake, Sam, Fred, Jonathan, and Alex; dear sister of Robert Eisen and Howie Eisen; and treasured mentor and friend. A graduate of Brandeis University, Arleen cherished Jewish ideals and dedicated her life to helping others. She spent years serving the community through the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Central Agency for Jewish Education, and was particularly proud of her role in developing the Department of Jewish Special Education. After several years as a social worker, Arleen transitioned to guidance and college counseling, and in recent years helped countless students in South Florida and around the world reach their full academic potential. Although she was always in high demand for her guidance and counseling services, Arleen will best be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and strength, and for her devotion to her friends and family. She was a true woman of valor, and she will be dearly missed. Donations in honor of Arleen may be made to Birthright Israel Foundation, www.birthrightisrael.org. Chapel Service 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6th at Levitt-Weinstein/Beth David Chapel, 3201 NW 72nd Ave., Hollywood. Arrangements by Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert (305) 865-2353
