Arlene Burlant's Obituary
Arlene (Rosenberg) Burlant, Chaya bat Yosef Meir z”l,passed away on Monday, October 19 in Aventura, Florida. She was 84 years old.
Arlene was married for nearly 40 years to Dr. William Burlant, a renowned chemist.
After spending her childhood in Erie, PA, she lived in Detroit, MI; Columbus, OH; Boston, MA; and Wayne, NJ. She moved to Florida in 2015.
Arlene, a dietician, was the author of Lactose-Free Cooking, a book that was widely used nationwide. She leaves her daughter, Diana Kahn (Jack) of Aventura, FL, her son, Michael Burlant (Elizabeth Elting) of New York City, grandchildren Sharona Kahn, Joel Kahn, Zachary Burlant and Jason Burlant, brother Marvin Rosenberg (Joanie) of Potomac, MD and sister Anita Kornblit (Morris) of Pittsburgh, PA.
The family is grateful to companions Ceci Haughton, Josefina Barreiro and Dorothy Johnson, who were indispensable and to the staff of the Vi at Aventura.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation or to Hadassah.
