Arlene Canner's Obituary
CANNER, ARLENE, 89, of Miami, Florida, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016. Loving Mother of Caryn (Larry) Schwartz, Felice (Dennis) Brandt, & Wayne (Nancy) Canner. Cherished Grandmother of Scot (Stacey), Jeremy, Justin (Elissa), Troy (Brett), Heather & Lauren and cherished Great Grandmother of Logan, Harper, Braxton, Mya & Isabella. Arlene moved from Brooklyn to Miami Beach, attended the University of Miami and met the love of her life, Irving, to whom she was married for 54 years until his death in 2001. Arlene worked for 22 years as managing stenographer for Dr. Joel Dennis. She was one of the founding members of the Samuel Scheck Hillel Community Day School. Arlene was an active member of ORT and the editor of their newspaper. Our special thanks to Claudette, Therese, Beranie, Joyce, Paulette, and Acela for the loving care and companionship they provided. Arlene was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Chapel services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 18840 W. Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, FL 33180, followed by interment at Mt. Nebo, 5505 NW 3rd St, Miami, FL 33126. Donations in Arlene’s memory to Beth Torah, 20350 NE 26th Ave, Miami, FL 33180
