I met Arlene not long after her husband passed away when I came over to Miami to visit Lesie, my then pen pal. Not wanting to postpone my visit, she welcomed me into her home and was a kind and generous host. I was only thinking about her recently, which prompted me to search for her and was sorry to read she had passed. I will always remember her as a tall, beautiful lady who was very kind to me. Rest in peace and my belated condolences to all the family.
Dear Leslie and Andie....I am so very sad to hear that Aunt Arlene has passed away. Your Mom was such a lovely woman, inside and out. Her wonderful sense of humor, her infectious laugh, her delightful Boston accent are all part of my favorite childhood memories! Our fun Family trip to London, the many times we celebrated birthday's and other milestones, the many times we ate Chinese and Italian food, the worlds biggest round sofa in your living room and your Mom's incredible sense of style: she was the first woman I knew who carried a Louis Vuitton bag!! She truly always looked fantastic!!
I'm sure Aunt Arlene is up in Heaven with your Dad and also my Mom and that they are all enjoying each others company again. How lucky we all were to have such wonderful parents and especially true women role models for us girls to follow!!
