Arthur Behar's Obituary
Arthur Behar, of Aventura, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on December 22, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on May 9, 1931, in New York, Arthur later made South Florida his home, where he embraced a life filled with adventure, creativity, and meaningful connections.
Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard before embarking on a successful career as an entrepreneur. His ventures included Air Filter and Florida Vending, where his innovative spirit and determination turned each endeavor into a remarkable success. Known for his resourcefulness and drive, Arthur’s professional accomplishments were matched only by his zest for life.
Beyond his career, Arthur found joy in creative pursuits as an amateur actor and director. Through these artistic endeavors, he expressed himself with passion and flair, leaving behind memories of performances that brought joy to those who shared in them. His love for storytelling extended beyond the stage into every aspect of his life.
A devoted traveler with an adventurous soul, Arthur delighted in exploring the world. Whether attending horse races, visiting Las Vegas casinos, cruising across oceans, or discovering new destinations near and far, he created countless cherished memories for himself and those fortunate enough to join him on these journeys. His enthusiasm for travel was infectious and reflected his boundless curiosity about the world.
Arthur is lovingly remembered by his son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Marisa Behar; his daughter Leslie Behar; his beloved grandchildren Seth and Adam Behar; and his sister Marilyn Staffman. He was married for many years to Marian Behar until her passing in 2001. In later years, he shared a meaningful partnership with Cynthia Vogel that brought companionship and joy to both their lives.

A funeral service honoring Arthur’s life will be held on Thursday, December 26th at 10:00 a.m. at Beth David Memorial Gardens located at 3201 N 72nd Avenue in Hollywood, Florida. Following the service, the family will welcome those wishing to celebrate Arthur's life at The Behar household at 8171 NW 42nd Street in Coral Springs on Thursday from noon to 4 p.m., and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
