Arthur L. Beloff's Obituary
Arthur L. Beloff slipped away peacefully at his home in Hollywood, Florida on October 4, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Meriden, Ct. where he joined his father in the family retail clothing business “Styletex”. He would ultimately move on to the world of real estate investments as a condominium developer and owner of an exclusive resort in Anguilla. But Arthur’s true passion was as an inventor. He graduated Tufts University with a degree in engineering which would later become useful with his many inventions and patents from the ‘Bagel Wizard’ to the successful ‘Cigar Savor’. While at Tufts, Art also joined the Naval Reserve earning the rank of lieutenant. Arthur is survived by his adoring wife, Clorinda (Cloie) and their loving and faithful dog Bentley. Cloie and Arthur shared their lives as best friends for over 46 years. He is also survived by his devoted children Jonathan (Marisue) Beloff and Susan Evans (Mark); daughter-in-law Candace Beloff; loving grandchildren Jessica Rhodes (Steve), Zachary Beloff, Allison Moses (Mike) and Matthew Evans; and precious great grandchildren, Lola and Nina Rhodes and Brandon Moses. Sadly, Arthur is predeceased by his son Michael who died in a tragic car accident at the age of 49. Arthur led a full and enriched life and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Arthur’s family will celebrate his life in a private memorial service. Arrangements by Levitt Weinstein (305) 932-2700.
