Life is Like a book, a story come true.
At 11:55 AM on December 16th, we lost our Poppy, Asheri Engelman. Born on February 27, 1929 in NY to Deborah and Uriah. At 17 years old, Asheri left home and joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. Every year, he would remind us of that anniversary. He returned from the Army and attended NYU on the GI Bill and graduated with a degree in business. Caring and loving husband, father, Poppy and friend. He is survived by his wife Marcia of 59 years, his children Elana (Lee) Perdeck, Greg ( Jill), Lisa ( Stephen) Levine, his six cherished grandchildren Lindsey, Leigh, Danny, Aimee, Jackson and Carter (Gunther!), his twin sister Yeminah, sister in law Miriam, nieces, nephews and countless other friends he considered Family. The greatest gift he gave us was each other, Fourteen strong!
