Babette L Kent's Obituary
Babette L. Kent of Pompano Beach, Florida born in New York passed away peacefully on May 23, 2017. She was pre-deceased by the love of her life Jerome “Jerry” Kent who she now joins forever. Babette was the loving Great Grandmother of Kody, Kent, Jolie, Jack and Jamie, Grandmother of Krista and Jed (Jennifer), Mother of Merrie (John) and Nadine and a true friend of the countless people (Steven, Mark, Elizabeth, Donna Marie, Elliot, Leo, Nanci, and many, many others) she encountered over her many years of life. Originally from the Long Island, New York area, Babette and Jerry moved to South Florida and were extremely active in the local dance/art scene. Babette loved to listen to music and spent countless days/nights with her friends and musicians at “Blue Jean Blues” and other music locations in the area. Babette was full of the spirit of life and lived each day to the fullest. Babette was one of a kind and enhanced the lives of everyone she encountered. The stories of the many people Babette touched during her life are truly endless. The love and support Babette and family received from Babette’s friends and her fellow music lovers in her final days helped carry her peacefully away into eternity. These acts of kindness exhibited by her many friends were simply amazing to witness and will never be forgotten. Babette was deeply loved, surpassed only by the love she gave to others. We love and miss you Babette! A private family only service is to be held at Lakeside Memorial Park in Miami on May 25, 2017. In lieu of flowers a donation in Babette’s name to the Mental Health Association of Broward County would be greatly appreciated.
