Barry R. Rose's Obituary
Barry Robert Rose of Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away Wednesday, January 5th at the age of 79. Barry was born in Newark, NJ on November 21, 1942. He attended North Miami High School and received his accounting degree from the University of Miami. Barry was a CPA for Mallah, Furman and Co. of Miami for over 50 years and continued in private practice to the present day. He served in the U.S. National Guard for 6 years and was a member of the Knights of Pythias. Barry was a founding member and past president of Temple Beth Emet in Cooper City. He was a former president of the Florida Horseman's Benevolent and Protective Association and owned and trained race horses for more than 20 years.
Barry is survived by his wife of more than 56 years, Anita, son Philip (Lynn), daughter Alisa (Stephen), grandchildren Emma, Erica, Cory and great-granddaughter Charlotte.
Barry loved his family, friends, horses, and his accounting work. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
Contributions in his memory may be made to Temple Beth Emet in Cooper City.
