RUBIN, Barry I., 79 of Pompano Beach (formerly of Plantation), Florida passed away Tuesday December 15, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Marlene, a loving father of Betsy (Mark) Luger and Roberta Loomar (Greg), a cherished grandfather of Justin Luger, Alexi (Coley) Laffoon, Jenna Loomar and Ava Loomar and great granddaughter Zoey Marine Laffoon, a devoted brother of Merra Lee Block and Patti Kesterson, dear friend Gail Miller and his special ladies Eddie Mae Smith and Carrie Gibson. Barry dedicated his life to his family and friends and his presence was larger than life. He deeply touched everyone he met. He worked for many years, with his wife Marlene, in the real estate and commercial management industries and then later, helped pioneer the Business Brokerage industry, where he was an icon.
