Bee Murray's Obituary
Bee Murray of Aventura, Florida passed away on November 3, 2024. Bee Murray of Aventura, Florida passed away on November 3, 2024. Loving mother of Robin (Larry) Willis and Terry Wucher, dear sister of Jonathan Murro, cherished grandmother of Aaron (Elise), Jonathan, Cory (Daniela), Alyssa (Jeffrey) and Rebecca (Jonathan), adored great-grandmother of Sophia, Leo, Alexandra, Stella, Max and Logan. Bee was born in New York City on November 11, 1931. When she was 6 years old her family moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. But the quiet town life was not for her. She left for Miami to attend the University of Miami and major in theater. New York called her back, with the hopes of becoming a successful actress. Studying under famed Stella Adler, she performed in several small productions. Eventually she returned to Miami where she started a family raising her two daughters Robin and Terry. When her three grandsons were born, she became the Bub“Bee” of all Bubbees. She loved them more than anything and made sure they never went very long without delicious, customized goodies that she baked for them. Everything she did became a labor of love. She was the administrative assistant to the owner of the Deauville Hotel in its heyday. When she became a real estate agent and broker, she always put her client’s interest above all else. She wouldn't rest until they found the perfect house or apartment. Bee was a true people person so being a realtor was a good fit. She worked in Real Estate until her late 80’s. The theater bug was always there. She acted in many productions for children and was an actress on Skipper Chuck and Banjo Billy, both popular local television kids’ shows. Later, she joined the theater group at the MAR JCC in North Miami Beach. Once again, her dedication and professionalism came to the forefront as she performed in all types of productions from comedy to tragedy earning high praise from the audience as well as her fellow actors and directors. As she phased out of acting and real estate, she took up photography. She studied every detail regarding lighting, exposure and composition. On many of her outings she took her camera. She took pictures all over the world. But her favorite subjects were her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchildren. Bee did nothing halfway. Everything had to be just right. From acting to cooking and baking to photography and especially to caring for and loving her family. She will be missed and may her memory be for a blessing. The family requests donations be made in memory of Bee Murray to Performing Arts - JCAT at the Michael Ann Russell JCC. Please specify for audio equipment.
