ZITNER
Bernadine (Deanie), 85 of Pembroke Pines, FL., passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013.
Preceded in death by her devoted, loving husband and kindred spirit of 50 years, Sam. Loving mother of
Alan Zitner, Barbara (Chuck) Hanovich and Mindy (Jack) Carey. Terrific grandmother
of Sara, David (Inessa), Jeff and Greg. Great grandmother of Cinnamon, India, Emunah
and Rivka. Loving sister of Lynne Silver. Loving sister-in-law of Fran Zitner. Preceded in death by
her first husband James Altman, her daughter-in-law Kate, and great-grandson Yisrael.
Kind, caring friend to many. Native Philadelphian, avid reader and card player, and
hardworking bookkeeper, who enjoyed ballet, opera and Frank Sinatra music. Spent a lifetime
engaging warmly with everyone, enjoying friendships and social engagements and
generously giving love to many. Donations may be made to Vitas Hospice.
