Judge Bernard A. Frank's Obituary
Judge Bernard A. Frank, 100 years old, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Edythe Frank; his son, Robert Frank and his wife, Ping Dang Hui-Frank; his granddaughter, Amanda (Frank) Levine and her husband, Robert Levine; as well as his step-son, Robert Slater and his wife, Clorinda Slater and their children, Margie, Michael, and Elizabeth.
Born and raised in Miami, he never moved from South Florida his entire life of 100 years. In his early years, Judge Frank was a State handball champion and a tennis champion with his doubles’ partner in college, Gardner Malloy.
Judge Frank served in World War II stationed in Burma. He moved up in rank to Captain.
Returning to Miami Beach after the war, Judge Frank, who by then was an attorney, went into politics. He was a Councilman of Miami Beach for 13 years, a Vice Mayor of Miami Beach and a Judge.
Judge Frank enjoyed traveling around the world, being with his favorite friends, Eddie Dibbs, Frank Sinatra, Joe E. Lewis, Phil Silvers and Milton Berle.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 28th, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert: 720 71st Street, Miami Beach, FL 33141.
