Beverly Circle's Obituary
Beverly is an expression of passion for beauty, family, random acts of kindness and giving. Beverly was born in St. Louis, Missouri and has been a resident of Boca Raton since 1985. In St. Louis, she raised 2 daughters and was an antique dealer. Now she says she has become an antique!
For the first few years after arriving in Boca, she and her husband of 67 years, Jack Circle, volunteered with the Boca SPCA to take dogs and kittens to visit patients at nursing homes. With her belief in voters’ rights, Beverly worked at the Boca polling station for 5 years. After reading a story in the newspaper about the shunning of people with AIDS, she suggested to Jack that they cook and donate food to a West Palm Beach food pantry specifically for AIDS patients. Every month for 11 years in their small kitchen, they prepared 200 - 500 meals ready for the pantry’s freezer. This took 2 days, one day to cook and one day to freeze and deliver. Her life long love of art led her to the Boca Museum of Art when the museum was on Palmetto Park Road. For the past 20 years, she has volunteered in different capacities at the museum and Art School. Whatever was needed, she and Jack were available. Stuffing envelopes, hosting the student exhibitions at the Art School, annually contributing 60 fruitcakes and pounds of biscotti at the complementary breakfast for participating artisans for the Art in the Park Event, and more fruitcake and biscotti for the museum’s International Film Series, and more fruitcake and biscotti for the museum’s various fundraising events. Whenever their fruitcakes could raise money for the museum or grace an event, there were the fruitcakes and biscotti. Once the museum received a letter addressed to Beverly Biscotti. For 10 years Beverly volunteered as the museum’s receptionist for Wednesday evenings; a bag of biscotti accompanied her to gift to one of the evening visitors. She was an active member of the Friend’s Auxiliary, and was responsible for the collecting, organizing and selling of items for the successful, annual CollectableTreasures Sale at the museum.
Beverly passed away peacefully this March 12, 2017. She has left her legacy of “Biscotti Currency” and her husband, Jack, 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. What a love.
Do small things with Great Love; that is Beverly.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Boca Museum of Art would be happily received, thank you.
