Bruce Miller's Obituary
Bruce T. Miller, 79 of Boca Raton, FL, passed away suddenly on November 15, 2017 at his apartment in Deerfield Beach. Bruce was born in Baltimore, MD on January 20, 1938 to Dr. Meyer Miller and Ethel Eisman Miller. As a teen, he lived with an Aunt in Morrisville, NC and graduated from Carey High School in Carey, NC. After brief adventures at the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University, Bruce moved back to Baltimore and obtained a BA from the University of Baltimore. Bruce joined the US Army Reserve and received an Honorable Discharge after fulfilling his obligation. He went to work for IBM Corporation in Baltimore and subsequently was transferred to Miami where he met Barbara, his future wife. Bruce held a number of marketing and management positions during 14 years with IBM, but corporate life was not something he enjoyed, so he left to become his own boss and moved with his wife to Indianapolis and started a computer based energy management business. They subsequently returned to Miami where Bruce opened an accounting and tax preparation business. He found his niche working with his many clients, and they were a made to order audience for his vast store of jokes and his outgoing personality. Bruce loved being around people and was a friend to all that had the pleasure of knowing him personally. He was a financial wizard when it came to taxes and business matters and was always just a phone call away. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Barbara Hope Miller (Nunn). He is survived by brother Lewis Gary Miller (Leilani) of Boca Raton, FL, sister Patsy Ruth Seigel of Silver Spring, MD and his good friend, Tom Pitts, of Parkland, FL. He also leaves behind nephews Marc Scott Miller, Richard Barry Miller, Lawrence Howard Miller and sister-in-law Tybelah Blumberg. Bruce was interred next to his beloved wife in the family plot at Mt. Sharon Cemetery outside of Philadelphia.
