Dr. Burton S. Hutman's Obituary
Dr. Burton S. Hutman of Miami Beach passed away December 24, 2016. Dr. Hutman graduated The Johns Hopkins University with honors. He attended Medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. He trained in psychiatry with Rabbi Abraham Twerski. He married Jacqueline Kalchman in 1962. After serving in the US Navy for 3 years as a Lieutenant Commander. In 1970 he started the University of Miami Crisis Intervention Center, the first emergency room Facility for mental health in the State of Florida. He worked as Medical Director for Landmark Learning Center or the disabled. Medical director for North Miami Community Mental Health. He was a consultant for the South Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center. He retired at age 65, but after 6 months he returned to work as Locum Tenins for various medical facilities in Ohio, Florida and California. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline. His children Wayne & Elite Hutman and their 4 children. Batel, Dov, Emmanuelle & Daniel. Cherie & Noah Levi and their 5 children. Lani, Estee & Adam Goldberg, Raffi, Chava & Aviva. Bernie & Susan Hutman and their 2 children, Max and Ava. Michael Hutman. Graveside Service 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 26, 2016 at Lakeside Memorial Park.
