Caroline "Katie" Grabarnick's Obituary
GRABARNICK, Caroline "Katie", 95, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Katie was one of six children born in Poland to Harry and Fannie Feder. The family immigrated to New York where she met her husband of 72 years, Joseph, and started their family of three. They then came to Miami Beach in the early 1950's. Katie is survived by her three children Philip Gene (Pauline), Lawrence (Hope), and Rochelle Medearis; six grandchildren Traci (Stuart), Mindi, Garett, Jonas, Adam (Sara), and Jenna; and six great grandchildren Val, Ava, Charlie, Mac, Gavin and Goldie Jo; and many nieces and nephews. Katie was a hardworking and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed by all, especially for her exceptional cooking abilities. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Gene and Pauline until 8 PM that evening and then again on Thursday from 11-8.
