Celia Zegelbone's Obituary
The family and many friends of Celia Zegelbone (nee Dressman) mourn her passing and feel grateful to have had her in their lives. She died peacefully on January 1, 2015 in Aventura, Florida, at the age of 99, surrounded by her loved ones.
Ceil was a beloved confidant and adviser to all who benefited from her practical wisdom, understanding nature, and uncompromising love for those she held dear.
She was a happily busy wife and mother. She married Jack Zegelbone in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1938. She and Jack shared a long and close marriage which included world travel, a vast circle of friends, and an ongoing conversation that lasted until Jack's death in 1994. In 1976, together they purchased Tropical Asphalt Products which continues their legacy today as Tropical Roofing Products.
Ceil's life spanned an entire century. Her robust spirit and positive outlook lit up the good times boosting her and everyone around her past the inevitable hardships. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by three sons: Charles (Elinor) Orlando, Florida, Richard (Ginny Robinson) Hollywood, Florida, and Arthur (Michele Loh) Bronx, New York; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Levitt Weinstein/Beth David Memorial Gardens, 3201 NW 72nd Ave. Hollywood Florida 33024, on Sunday, January 4th at 12 noon.
