Charles "Charlie" Appel's Obituary
APPEL, Charles "Charlie" of Miami passed away September 21, 2016. Son of the late Max & Lottie Appel, Beloved husband of Jennifer Appel, loving father of Robert, Jan, Meredith (Jim), Michael (Alexandra), Brennan, David & the late Bruce, cherished grandfather of Baylee, Carlin, Jack, Max, Ella, Valentina & Luca. Charlie moved to Miami Beach when he was 16 where became an active member of the Miami Beach High School Football Typhoons. Charlie was a 1951 Tangerine Bowl Champion at Stetson University, graduate of the U of M and the U of M Law School. He was an educator, public servant with the Miami Beach Police Dept. & later as an attorney with over 51 years of distinguished public service.
