A long time ago Chet really loved fast cars! He and Sandy had an Oldsmobile 442 with some super carburetor, and lucky me I recall racing down some road with Chet flooring this monster and I was hanging on for dear life, since seat belts were not mandatory I thought my time was up. We are sad to hear that his wild spirit has departed this earth, but we know he is probably racing down highway in the sky. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to his family, and my dearest friend Sandy.

My heart aches for you...and your family. My favorite memory of Chet was on your wedding day. You were both over the moon in love - with purple roses everywhere and Gail and I in purple dresses! I know you and Chet shared this happiness and love everyday you were together. May that love wrap you now in comfort.

I'm sure you don't mind if I call you Dad now. I've felt like your daughter ever since I've met you. Just wanted to tell you I'm thinking of you always. I miss that warm and charming smile of yours, and the way you'd wink at me when no one else was looking. I see so much of you in that wonderful son of yours.

Dear Joanna, Sandy and Linda:

As I said to Joanna, we were so glad that we had the opportunity to see you all with Chet in good times last September. We were particularly blessed that Sonya was able as a young woman to meet him. I have fond memories of hanging out with Chet and Sandy at the house in Woodmere which will never leave me. He will be missed.

Chet and I were best friends, we raised a family, we were a family, we fell apart, and we lost it all. We met again when we shared a beautiful grandchild. We became friends again, we shared a family again. We forgave. We didn't fall apart. We just had more love to share. Rest in peace, Chet. I will never forget the good times and will hold you near my heart forever.
