Cyrus Adler Neuman's Obituary
NEUMAN, CYRUS ADLER, died on March 13, 2015 of old age.
He was born in Philadelphia in 1921 to Rabbi Dr. Abraham A. Neuman and Gladys Neuman, and named for Cyrus Adler, first President of Dropsie College, and a preeminent leader of American Jewry.
Cyrus was a tax lawyer by profession, a champion bridge player, a good chess player, a lover of sport, a mountain climber, an avid reader of great literature, and a world traveler with a special passion for fine dining.
He leaves behind, his wife Rachel, his children Patty Eber, Jill Gottlieb, Cathy Tegeler (Ron), Andrew Neuman; his grandchildren, Eric, Drew and Lindsay Gottlieb; his stepdaughter Cindy Phillips Levy (Isaac) and their children, Solomon, Zevi and Sarah.
He will be missed.
A private interment service has been held.
