KUSHNER
David Samuel Kushner, 87, of Hollywood Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on 4-22-13
Dave was born to Vivian and Max Kushner on Dec 19,1925 in Worcester MA where he was raised. After graduating from Worcester Academy in 1943 he joined the Navy. Upon receiving his discharge he attended Brown University graduating in 1950. Returning to Worcester, he joined his father in business and in 1955 married Betty Nore and two years later became the proud father of twin sons, Michael and William. In 1959 he moved his growing family to Hollywood Florida where his younger son Jon and daughter Rachel were born. In 1960 Dave bought a small manufacturing company, TACO Metals, inc, that grew into an internationally known company. He had passion for his work and a keen business intellect. He was very proud when his sons joined him and the company grew while remaining a family business. He enjoyed close friendships developed over many years with employees and business associates. An ardent golfer throughout his life. In retirement He and Betty traveled extensively and loved dividing their time between homes in Hollywood and Cape Cod.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, three sons Michael (PA), William (Stefanie), Jon (Ellen), daughter Rachel van de Rydt (PJ), sister Michelle Berry, seven grand children Evan, Hannah, Coralie, Grace, Abbie, Matthew, Samuel, sister and brother In law Nancy and David Sadick, many loving nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Vivian and Max Kushner, his step mother Etta, who raised him after the death of his mother, his sister Sylvia Hoffman and his beloved grandson Logan.
The family would like to thank his wonderful aides especially Sonia and Pat whose loving care and devotion meant so much to him and all his family.
