Dora Epelbaum's Obituary
EPELBAUM, Dora (Szalkowicz) passed away on May 31, 2017. She was born on July 25, 1940 in Havana, Cuba. In 1960, she immigrated to Chicago, Illinois then moved to Miami Beach in 1964 where she became a part of Miami Beach community that opened its arms to Cuban immigrants and raised her three children. Dora’s life of love and devotion to her family and friends was cut short by cancer. She will be sorely missed by the love of her life Isaac Epelbaum, married for 56 years, their three children Linda (Lazarus), Annette (and the late Mark) and Nelson (Nanette), eight grandchildren Joseph, Max, Jamie, Hershel, Hailey, Aidan, Ethan and Jonah, her brother Moris (Raquel) Salk, sister Julia (Nahum) Miller and all those who knew and loved her. She spent her free time volunteering with the sisterhood at the Cuban Hebrew Congregation in Miami Beach. Donations may be made in memory of Dora Epelbaum to the League Against Cancer - Flamingo Chapter. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 2nd at Temple Beth Sholom, 4144 Chase Avenue, Miami Beach.
