Doris L. Habib's Obituary
Doris L. Habib
Born in New York, New York on August 7, 1937, Doris passed away on March 7, 2023 at the age of 85. She is survived by her cherished sister Rochelle “Tootsie” Mendelow; loving children Rochelle Haber, Mitchell (Elissa) Habib; her adored grandchildren and great grandchild, Matthew Haber, Sarah Habib (Eric Elias), Ilana Habib, and Elliott Habib.
Doris delighted in dancing the cha-cha-cha with her husband, Isaac Habib (deceased), attending concerts with her sisters as a child, listening to Frank Sinatra, completing the daily crossword, and winning more than her fair share of card games, mahjong, and bingo. Her signature red lipstick, red nail polish, and Charlie perfume embodied the spark she brought to everything. Those lucky enough to receive a kiss on the cheek from Doris usually walked away with a souvenir. So too, Doris’s fierce wit and kind heart left an imprint. Doris lived a life filled with love and enthusiasm - from doting on her grandchildren to going out on the town for a lobster lunch - her zest for life will continue to inspire all who knew her.
We are grateful for the loving care of the Palace at Weston’s staff. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Feeding South Florida (https://feedingsouthflorida.org/donate/).
