Edna Davidson's Obituary
EDNA DAVIDSON
1928 – 2021
Family and friends mourn the passing of Edna Davidson, wife of Leonard Davidson (now deceased), mother of Roanne Pitluk and Roy Pitluk, daughter of Samuel and Ethel Rudenberg, sister of Norman Rudenberg. Her death was associated with Alzheimer's Disease. In her first marriage, her husband was Marvin Pitluk, and out of that union, Roy and Roanne Pitluk were born.
Edna Davidson grew up in Chicago and later moved to Miami, Florida. Edna and her husband, Leonard (Lenny) Davidson, later purchased a home in an area that was originally part of Kendall. In the past, she had studied opera with Marvin Pitluk, and her love of opera continued long after her studies. She took pride in her home and she demonstrated her creativity in the furniture she chose, and the settings she would arrange and rearrange. This detail was even applied to the carpet, which bore raised patterns that accented the living room. She also developed an interest in the stock market, and for years she was trading and buying and selling options. I feel like her finest moment was when she cared for her mother, Ethel Rudenberg, when my grandmother was entering the last phase of life after a diagnosis of colon cancer. I remember her lifting my grandmother to give her a bath. She shared her caregiving with a visiting hospice nurse. So now, it was Edna Davidson's ending phase of life. Yehi zikhrona barukh. May she rest in peace.
Private funeral will be arranged by Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel (305) 932-2700
