Edythe Kay Marsa's Obituary
Edythe (Weiner) Kay Marsa, age 88. of Aventura, FL, formerly a long-time resident of Springfield, NJ, died in Miami, FL on March 12, 2018. Edy was predeceased by her late husband, Herbert Kay, and her sisters, Francine Donnelly and Adele Barron. Edy is survived by her loving husband, William Marsa, her children, Michael Kay and Debra Streit and her significant other Roy Breslow, her grandchildren, Jamie and Mitchell Decter, Robert and Alison Streit, Jordan and Carrie Kay, and Alison Kay and Alex Von Furstenberg. “Gigi” was blessed and adored her seven great grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan and Jackson Decter, Leon Von Furstenberg, Lucas, Hayden and Leah Streit. Sophisticated, elegant, and youthful, Edy dedicated her life to being the matriarch of her family, inspiring those who loved her with her endless energy, compassion, and strength. Edy was gracious, kind, and selfless. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Donations in the name of Edythe Kay may be made to the Herbert Kay Parkinson Chapter, P.O. Box 801733, Aventura, FL 33180. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:15 am at Bernheim Apter Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. A memorial service will take place at a later date in Aventura, FL date and time to be determind.
