Eleanor "Ellie" Einhorn's Obituary
Our beloved Ellie Einhorn, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at the beautiful age of 98. Born on February 15, 1928, in the Bronx, New York, she brought love, laughter, and light into the world from the very beginning.
She grew up in the Bronx with her dear parents and cherished sisters, Blanche and Tessie who preceded her in death. At just 18, she married the love of her life, Freddie who preceded her in death, and together they built a wonderful family and a lifetime of memories. She was a devoted mother to her three children—Barbara (Ken) Malkin, Michael (Lolo) Einhorn, and Craig Einhorn—guiding them with kindness, patience, and boundless love.
For over 40 years, she devoted herself to teaching preschoolers at Beth Torah Adath Yeshurun. Known for her incredible patience and gentle spirit, she nurtured generations of young children, helping them take their very first steps into learning and discovery. Her dedication to education and her ability to make every child feel special will live on in the countless lives she touched.
She was an extraordinary mother, aunt, grandmother, great- aunt and great-grandmother who played a central role in raising her four beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren—Amy Malkin (Eric Adams), Justin, Jake, Jennifer Solano, Skylar, Vicki, Alex, Alison Einhorn (Edmund Sutton), Maurice, and Phil Einhorn (Michelle), Mason, Brody, Ella. She was an aunt to Ellyn, Ronnie (Marsha), Cary (Margaret) and Sheldon (Susan) and great aunt to Robyn, Daria, Alex, Kyle, Berkeley, Sloane, Ian, Michelle (Max), Jessica (Dan). She adored and proudly celebrated all of her family, especially her nine of her great-grandchildren, who filled her heart with incomparable joy.
Known for her vibrant personality, she was truly the life of every party. Always dressed to the nines, she loved fashion, music, and dancing, and she embraced life with unmatched enthusiasm. She had so much energy and was a true ball of fire. Whether enjoying her favorite shows like Sex and the City and Dancing with the Stars or celebrating another family simcha, she radiated energy and laughter wherever she went.
A woman of unwavering faith, she lived every day guided by her love of Hashem, always keeping kosher and honoring Jewish traditions. Her devotion, warmth, and zest for life set an example for all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will forever be a blessing.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Lakeside Memorial Park, 10301 NW 25th Street, Doral, Florida 33172. Arrangements by Levitt-Weinstein Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel (305) 932-2700.
