Eleanor Rosow Schwartz's Obituary
Schwartz, Eleanor Rosow, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, journeyed to that spiritual house eternal in the heavens Thursday, Jan 11, 2017. Eleanor was born Mar 31, 1926 and received her nursing degree from Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. She practiced pediatric nursing until her retirement at age 75. She moved to Melbourne in 2002 with her husband to enjoy her retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents Louis & Rose Rosow and her husband Howard. She is survived by her children Randy (Paula), Gwen Teate (Chip), Dale, & Ben (Beverly) and her grandchildren Rachael, Brian, Stefanie, Dana, Benjamin, Matt, Samantha, and Pamela. Eleanor was much loved by people from all walks of life. She never met a stranger. She was a lover of books, art, and history. She was renowned for her intelligence, quick wit, and ribald humor. Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan 15th, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, 1125 NW 137th Street, Miami, FL 33168 at 10:30 am. A gathering for friends of Eleanor will be held at the home of Ben & Beverly Schwartz Jan 21, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Arrangements by Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert (305) 865-2353
