Eleanor "Ellie" Ager's Obituary
AGEREleanor “Ellie”, Loving and devoted wife, mother and Grandmother, passed away at home in Aventura on September 24, 2012. Ellie was born in Brooklyn NY to Martha and Jack Silverman. In 1954, Ellie met the love of her life (Ronald) Ronnie, whom she married and together they spent 58 wonderful years. Ellie and Ronnie shared an active and fulfilling life together with many common interests and activities including travel, snow skiing, tennis, bridge, exercising, and most of all entertaining their family and friends. Ellie was a beautiful, strong, intelligent, selfless, warm, and vibrant person. She cared deeply for those lives she was involved with and touched. Ellie cherished her family above all, and loved all activities that allowed her to celebrate life with them. She graduated from the University of Miami with a B.A. She served several terms as Miami Beach Senior High School PTA president, a License Real Estate Broker she was a supporter of charitable causes especially the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Ellie will be survived by her beloved husband Ronald, along with their 3 children, Kathie Einstein (Ben), Mona Fisher (Alan), John Ager (Isabelle), and 6 amazing grandchildren Brandon Einstein M.D., Jaclyn Einstein LMSW, Michael Fisher, Rebecca Fisher, Nicole Ager, and Amanda Ager. She is also survived by her brother Leonard Silverman M.D. (Gail), along with many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ellie’s memory to UM/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center Dr Jonathan Trent’s Sarcoma research 305-243-9088 or Dana-Farber Cancer Institute 617-632-3019.Services will take place at 11am, Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel, 18840 W.
