Elias Roberto Ben-Hain's Obituary
Elias Roberto Ben-Hain, 76, passed away December 1, 2020, at his home in Pinecrest, Florida after a long battle with IPF.
Roberto was born February 29, 1944 in Havana, Cuba to Benjamin and Susana Ben-Hain. He came to the US in May 1961 with his parents and brother Cachi, first living in New York before later settling in Miami with his wife and kids in 1982.
He had a keen business mind and an extensive knowledge of banking, finance, and the stock market. He made his start in the banking industry - working his way from the bottom up to an executive manager. He started and ran several successful businesses for most of his life. He loved to play poker and he loved to travel whenever he could. But above all, he will be remembered as a loving family man. He treasured whatever time he could spend with his loved ones and friends and always had a sparkle in his eye and a smile on his face — especially recently with his young granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Teresa; son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Jessica Ben-Hain; daughter Jeannie Ben-Hain; son and daughter-in-law, Brad & Jeni Benhain; grandchildren Shoshana Batya and Lina Sam.
A small memorial service will be held Thursday December 3 at 2:00 pm at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery with a Zoom broadcast for family and friends. The family requests donations in his memory be made to:
