Ellen S. Kurry's Obituary
Ellen S. Kurry , age 73, resident of Pembroke Pines, Florida died June 8th at Jackson Memorial Hospital (Miami) after a long brave struggle with end-stage kidney disease. Born in New York to Dr. Max and Lillian E. Shapiro, raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey and a long time resident of Scotch Plains, New Jersey, Mrs. Kurry was a graduate of Temple University (Philadelphia) and earned a Master’s Degree from Kean College. A Florida resident since 1997, Mrs. Kurry leaves behind her heartbroken children Jonathan Kurry (Yahima Giro), Jodi Cohen, Drew Kurry (Meredith) and Matthew Kurry (Aimee); her adoring grandchildren Mitchell, Jeffrey, Max, Cassidy, Emma, Jacob, Andrew, Jessica and Lilly; and her bereft sister Nancy S. Stolman (Lewis). Daughter, sister, cousin, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend extraordinaire; loving and loved. She will be dearly missed. Please consider honoring her memory by registering as an organ donor.
A chapel service will be held 10am on June 11, 2018 at Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert 720 71st Street, Miami Beach, FL 33141 interment will be11:30am at Lakeside Memorial Park Doral, FL.
