Elliot Rosen's Obituary
ROSEN, Elliott passed away peacefully on July 30, 2014. He was born on June 7, 1928, the youngest child of Nathan and Rose Rosen, Jewish immigrants from Poland, who somehow landed in Montgomery, Alabama. He moved to Miami, Florida in the early 1950's, when he met and married Carolyn Kessler (Rosen Miller), who predeceased him. After a starter job at Florida Power & Light, he opened Elliott Rosen Realty and became a real estate broker. Elliott is survived by his loving children, Joanne Rosen (and her wife Amy) and Laurie Riemer (and her husband Stephen). Elliott was a fabulous grandfather who will be deeply missed by his adoring grandchildren, Paul and Brian Riemer and Marina and Benjamin Rosen-Cappellazzo. All who knew him remembered his favorite saying "Health, happiness, love, peace of mind, prosperity, and time to enjoy it." He was known as a gentle giant standing tall at 6' 7". He was a humble, kind, appreciative, funny, quiet, slow paced, southern gentleman who took great pleasure in the simple things in life. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to The Memory Center at Miami Jewish Health Services, 5200 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33137. Services will be held on Friday August 1, 2014 at noon at Levitt Weinstein 18840 West Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach, FL 33180 (305) 932-2700
