Being one of 'Ricks' oldest friends I should like to offer my sympathies for his family many of whom I have known equally as long. Rick and I go back to just about the end of 1968 together. Our many road trips and long walks we took will be forever remembered. I was there for him when his folks were splitting up. He was always welcome in my home and my folks knew him well. Rick was always a polite, respectful and trustworthy gentleman whom one could always depend on. Although in the last few years our friendship had its ups and downs, his passing was and will always be a great shock. Rick was so much a part of my life it seems as if a part of me has gone with him. My wife and I shared happy times with him and Mabel and it seemed as if he had found happiness in the relatively short time they were together. The songs we shared, the people we knew, the places we worked and the events experienced together created an indelible tapestry only he and I lived and could appreciate. I never got the chance to express to him my condolences on the passing of his father. We were friends for a very long time............and I sorely miss him. Although I was not present for his funeral, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends and all who knew him.
With Love and Peace
