In Loving Memory – Ethel Ann Ocsman Goldman 09/01/1929-10/24/2016
Ethel (Ettie) Ann Ocsman Goldman of Lauderhill Florida passed away naturally Monday, October 24, 2016 at Lenox on the Lake surrounded by her loving family.
Ettie was born to Anna and Julius Ocsman September 1, 1929 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Ocsman family traveled to the United States in 1931. Ettie’s first language was Portuguese. She learned English when she started school at age 5. Ettie became a US Citizen January 12, 1937.
She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Brooklyn, New York, June 1947 and went to work for the telephone company. Soon after, she met and fell in love with Philip Goldman, a recent World War Two Veteran. They were married March 26, 1950.
Ettie and Phil took up residence in East New York, Brooklyn. There they had two children, Beverly Susan born 02/13/1951 and Norine Beth born 02/12/1956. Ettie and Phil moved to South Florida in 1978.
Ettie loved to do needlepoint, play Bingo, read and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her Husband Philip Goldman; Brother Shicky Ocsman; Two daughters, Beverly Brisebois (Michael); Norine Greenberg (Jerry); five Grandchildren, Bonnie Agugliaro (Joseph); Felicia Caruso (Angelo); Charles Greenberg ( Mandy); Michael Brisebois and Rachel Greenberg; six Great Grandchildren; Giuliana and Jacob Caruso; Juliet, Camille and Joseph Agugliaro; and Elijah Greenberg. Ettie was preceded in death by her sister Libby Reiner.
A Memorial Service will be held at Levitt-Weinstein Memorial Chapel at 8135 W. McNab Road, Tamarac Fl. 33321 Friday, October 28th, 2016 at 12 noon.
Shiva will be held starting Friday 10/28/2016 at 4:00pm through Sunday 10/30/2016 until 9:00pm, at the home of Jerry and Norine Greenberg, 1500 NW 108 Way, Coral Springs, Florida 33071.
