Evelyn passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2013. She was the wife of the late George Goldbloom, long-time South Florida real estate developer and philanthropist. Mrs. Goldbloom was born in Montreal, Canada, to Jimmy and Pauline Chuchem. It was in Montreal where she met and married George, her husband of almost fifty years. The couple had two children, Elise and Gary, and the family moved to Miami Beach in 1967. Along with her husband, she pursued many philanthropic activities on behalf of such varied organizations as the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged, St. Thomas University, and Mount Sinai Medical Center. Beloved by all who knew her, she is survived by her son Gary; son-in-law Kim Kessler; and grandchildren Jessica and Ryan Kessler. Services will be held Monday, March 11, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Blasberg-Rubin-Zilbert Memorial Chapel, 720 71st Street, Miami Beach, 33141.
