Evelyn Nussbaum's Obituary
NUSSBAUM
Evelyn, 96, an 81-year resident of Miami Beach, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late Milton Nussbaum. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Rene Leoni, grandchildren, Victor, Jonathan (Kim), Douglas, Steven (Christine) Leoni; fabulous great-grandchildren, CJ, Robbie, Marcus, Michael, Marissa, Reanna, Lucia, Dylan, Jacob and Seve; and daughter, Fredelle (Jay), granddaughter, Amy Schwartz; and loving nieces and nephews, her loyal aides Marie and Claudette and the special people who loved her dearly, whom were so very close to her heart.
Evelyn attended Miami Beach High School and University of Miami. She was an active partner with her husband, Milton, in pioneering the importing of Italian men and women shoes on American lasts. Evelyn was a Life Member of Hadassah. She was a 65-year member of Temple Beth Sholom of which her father, Morris Alpert, was a founding member.
She was also a member of Westview Country Club since 1954, of which she was an avid golfer and club champion in 1960. She was extremely active her entire life and especially enjoyed playing cards with her many friends. She was well known for her sense of humor and risqué jokes. Her greatest love was her family and the wonderful memories of the relationships she made with them will be a gift that they will carry with them forever. The family suggests donations
