Russ, Evelyn Mittler, died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at home. A daughter of the late Alfred and Eve Mittler, she grew up in Rhode Island and resided in Florida for the past 45 years. She was a teacher, retiring from the Miami-Dade school system. Devoted mother of Brittany Johnston and her husband, David. Loving grandmother of Ava Johnston. Dear sister of Peter Mittler and his wife, Elizabeth. Cherished cousin of Linda Fine and Mitchell Snyder. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 11:00 am at Beth Moshe Congregation 2225 NE 121st Street, North Miami, FL 33181. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to your favorite charity.
