Frances Rose Weinstock's Obituary
Born Francesca Covone in New Haven, Connecticut, Frances Rose Weinstock was born with the voice of an
angel and introspective heart of a poet. With the loving support of her seamstress mother, Felicia Pacelio,
Frances was trained as a lyric soprano and concert pianist at The Juilliard School. During her studies, Frances
Rose met and married Isaac Weinstock. After planting their roots in her beloved Hollywood, Florida in 1959,
they raised four beautiful and talented children Leah, David, Rachael, and Deborah.
During her brilliant life, Frances Rose helped Isaac write his memoir “The Seven Years”, recounting his
experiences as a child of the Holocaust; she became the lead soloist in the Temple Sinai Choir in Hollywood;
she shared her love of music as a gifted and supportive piano teacher for young and old alike; and, during
tumultuous times, she manifested her gift of words as a ground-breaking female entrepreneur whence she
began sharing her poetry of love, hope, friendship, and family in her popular nationwide line of greeting
cards and posters under Frances Weinstock Originals, Inc.
Frances Rose was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Isaac; her father, Matteo; her mother, Felicia; her
sister, Christine DeSerres; her grandson, Mikhail Neiman Scandarion; her nephew, Jonathan DeSerres; and
her brother-in-law, Frederick DeSerres. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leah and Randal
Simpson; her loving son and brilliant muse, David Weinstock; her daughter, trusted editor, and friend,
Rachael Scandarion; her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ya’acov Moallem; her granddaughter and sonin-law, Michelle Moallem and Josh Greenfield; her grandson and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Moriah
