Francien Chaney Ruwitch's Obituary
FRANCIEN CHANEY RUWITCH
of Coral Gables passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014. The beloved widow of Lee Ruwitch is survived by her son Rob, his wife Emily, grandson Zach, and sisters Mary Morricoli of Lake, Florida and Ellen Kesterson of Memphis, Tennessee. Fran was an avid collector of contemporary art and enthusiastic supporter of the arts in South Florida. She was a benefactor to both the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami and the Frost Museum of Art at Florida International University and often displayed her personal collection at both venues. Fran was also an active member of the University of Miami community and a Golden Cane since 1990. Fran traveled the world with her husband, son, and friends. She took in the many cultures and experiences with her wonderfully engaging personality. In lieu of flowers, the Ruwitch family has established the Lee Ruwitch Memorial scholarship fund at the University of Miami in Lee and Fran's honor. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2014 at Temple Beth Am , 5950 N. Kendall Drive, Miami, Florida 33156
