Franklin Milgrim's Obituary
Franklin Milgrim passed away February 28, 2022 at the age of 96.
He enjoyed many happy years of marriage to his late wife Carol Kleinman. Daughters Nancy (Richard) Spiwak and Catherine Wynn, grandsons Thomas (Becky) Cheney, Jacob Wynn, Jesse Wynn, great-grandchildren, Megan, Kathleen & Thomas Cheney Jr., Deceased brothers Paul Milgrim, Richard Milgrim. Nephews, Gary Reach (Marta), Andrew Reach (Bruce), Richard Milgrim (Mari), niece Victoria Fitz-Milgrim, first Cousin Gloria Boris. He was a New York native. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946. After his honorable duty, he attended The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics with honors in 1949. The son of an entrepreneur, Charles Milgrim & renowned fashion designer, Sally Milgrim who created inaugural gowns for three first ladies. The family business of Milgrim Inc. evolved where Franklin embarked on his career for over 40 years. He was an authority in his industry. The company met with tremendous success expanding to eight cities nationwide. Over the years, Mr. Milgrim had dedicated his time & knowledge to various civic & community organizations. He was a devoted friend of Bill W. for 70 years. During his free time, he loved sports & a collector of sports memorabilia. He also had an impeccable knowledge of history & deep appreciation of opera, symphony & excelled in tennis & soccer. Fond memories of Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians & Cleveland Barons games. He had a full & enriched life. A thank you to his caregivers & Francia.
